There are many ways to bring values into a cross-curriculum program. Below are some examples that I have implemented in my class room
1. Growth Mindset
2. Collaborative Learning
3. Mind-Up
Mindfulness is becoming more and more important in our world and this is reflected in the values of the school I am working in at the moment.
- based on science
- students self-regulate behaviour with mindful concentration
- part of daily routine
- mindful breathing
- learning to be mindful of listening, breathing, speaking, smelling, eating ect
- helps with academic success
- empathy and kindness
- fosters complex problem solving skills.

We use many reflection routines throughout the day.
We use the chime to focus our attention on the right now.
MindUP™/Mindfulness makes clear connections with the Attitudes and Learner Profiles in the Units of Inquiry. Each unit includes mindfulness activities and reflections. Mindfulness is fully integrated into my teaching both in curriculum and classroom management.
